Nosy babies while babywearing!

Are you babywearing? Do you have a nosy baby? Are you considering facing them out on your front? Have a read of this first!

A baby leaning back out of a carrier to see more, she is safe and secure but nosy!

A lot of people panic when their child is pushing and leaning, and yes it can indicate that there are tweaks we need to make, but as this photo from one of our glorious volunteers shows, it can also just be a nosy baby!

If your baby is pushing and leaning the first thing I check is that they've got a nic tuck at the bottom, are their knees higher than their bottom and is their pelvis gently tilted so their weight is on their bottom. Sometimes babies push at the top if they don't feel supported at the bottom.

But if we've established that it's the nosy stage arrived what can you do!

Well, go with the flow, turn and lean like you're advertising prizes on a gameshow so your little one can get a better look at the thing that caught their eye.

Pop one of their arms over the top of the carrier so they can get a better view by twisting like they're warming up for the physical portion of the above game show!

And lastly, if appropriate (and the word appropriate means a lot here, check the next post and I'll talk more about this) your baby can face the world.

So in short, don't panic, and if you are panicking, come and see us!
